A Royal Wedding in Hannover

On the occasion of last weeks Wedding of Hereditary Prince Ernst August of Hannover and Ekaterina Malysheva i took the opportunity to spend a few days in hannover. I arrived there already on Wednesday. In the evening i meet there with Stig and Netty and we had dinnder together with Svenja from Castleholic.
On the next Day ww went to the New Townhall to see the civil wedding. As it turned out there was not much to see. A woman probably from the Town Hall/City adminstration told us that we would not see the bridal Couple and that they would not enter through the Main Entrace. We then found an entrance on the back of the building which lent into an Inner court. There all the guests drove in. As the windwos of their Cars where eclipsed we could also not recognize who was seating in them. Despte this we decided to wait until they left after about an hour later. We then decided tro make a Trip to Bückeburg the Resdince of the Fürst zu Schaumburg-Lippe where we visited their Castle.
On the next day i and another friedn who had arrived in the meantime made a daytrip to Braunschweig where we visited among others the Castle Museum and the famous Dom. In the evening we went to have a look at the Brauhaus Ernst August where the pre-Wedding party took place. Tehre we saw several guests arrving amoing them Pieere Casiraghi and his wife Beartrice, Charlotte Casiragahi, the groom’s halfsister Princess Alexandra of Hannover, Hereditary Prince Hubertus and Hereditary Princess Kelly of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Prince Georg Friedrich and Sophie of Prussia, Hereditary Prince Ferdinand and Hereditary Princess Viktoria Luise zu Leiningen, Prince Hermann and Princess Isabelle zu Leiningen and Prince Beerthold of Baden with his sisters Sophie and Aglae. At some pint it started to rain and the reain became straoinger and stronger with thunder and lightening.
Early in the next morning i made my way to the martkirhce where i meet again several friends. After finding a good spot just oppoisde the mainentrace oif the Marktkirche the waiting began. At some pointa  car came and brought some last floral decorations and benches for the church. And then a guard of local marksmen and made a guard of onour on both sides of the entranfe to the Church. Just short before 11 a clock the first guest came. We hade already seen standing people in the back but hey wher not let into the closed of area. We then saw among others the grooms uncle Prince Heinrich of Hanover, the Früst and Fürstin zu Leingingen with Family walking by. When Prince Georg Friedrich and Princess Sophie of Prussia came there was a big cheer and after some press photgraphers shooting together they willing posed foir a pic together.  Some of the guest also arrived in the other side of the Chruch which was not visible for us. And other like Andrea Casiraghi with his family where driven in Cars direct to the entrance. Short before 12 a clock the groom and his mother arrived followd not much alter by the bride and her father. Then the Service started which lasted for about 1 hour.. Just before the Service ended a group of hornbloewers came and unfortunatley the had their place direct before me. so when the Couple wsas leaving hte Church the sight wasn’t as good anymore. The Couple wlaked through the guard of Honour from the Marksmen and then paused for a while to listen to the hornbloewrs. After some people in the corwd where calling them for a short moment the also looked into our direction. Then they walked to the waiting coach in which they where travelling to the reception at Herrenhausen. As all the guests where leaving the chruch it beame very crowded before the Church. I and my friends also decided to leave. After making a short Stop in our Hotel we then drove to Herrenhausen. But as it turned out the coach with the bridal Couple an most of the guests haad already arrived and the gates where covered not much was there to see. We could however hear the Music which was played there.

In the evening we went to the Hotel Luisenhoif where we know several of the guests where staying and culd see some of he leavin for the Gala at Marienburg Castle.
Among them where Andrea Casiraghi and Tatiana Santo Domingo Princess Chantal of Hannoiver with her son Christian and his fiancee Alessandra de Ossma, Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie Chantel of Greece with their children Constantine Alexios and Maria Olympia, Hereditary Prince Christian and Hereditary Princess Jeannette zu Fürstenberg, Princess Elisabeth of Thurn and Taxis.
