Funeral of Fürstin Eilika zu Leiningen

On Saturday 06. February i drove to Amorbach where on that day the Funeral of Fürstin Eilika zu Leiningen, née Duchess of Oldenburg took place. When i arrived there i went to the Church to have a look. According to signs there it was said that all guests should took the Main-Entrance. Unfortunatly this was the case but a lot guests did not walk up the many stairs before the Church but come from a street near the Church and could go from there through a Gate to the Entrance of the Church. Soon cars with the guests arrived and myn of them parked on the big square before the Palace. We could see some of the guests alking down from there to the Chruch bvut some also went into the Palace and porbably went from there into the Chruch. Short before the Service started the Family cam on foot from the Palace where they live. They then waited for a few mintues before the Church. Then Hereditary Prince Ferdinand and his brother Prince Hermann who had greeted the guests before the church came down and joined the Family before they went in a pocession iunto the Chruch. At the End of theService the coffin of the late Fürstin was carred out to the street at the side of the Church and out ion a horse drown carriage . The Family then again into the chruch where thee was again a song. Soion the Church doors opened again but only the people from Amorbach who where allowed to jkoin the Serive came out. It became soon clear the the Family and all the Guests had left direct from the inside of the Chruch to the connected Palace where a reception took place in the Green Hall.
